Main use
P-teroctyl phenol is a raw material and intermediate of fine chemical industry, such as the synthesis of octyl phenol formaldehyde resin, widely used in oil additives, ink, cable insulation materials, printing ink, paint, adhesive, light stabilizer and other production fields. Synthesis of non – ionic surfactant, widely used in detergent, pesticide emulsifier, textile dye and other products. Synthetic rubber auxiliaries are indispensable for the production of radial tires.
Toxicity and environmental effects
P-teroctyphenol is a toxic chemical that is irritating and corrosive to the eyes, skin and mucous membranes and can cause blurred vision, congestion, pain and burning. Large amounts of inhalation can cause coughing, pulmonary edema, and difficulty breathing. Frequent contact with skin can cause skin bleaching. Moderate irritation: Rabbit eye meridian: 50μg/ 24h. Moderate stimulation: 20mg/24 hours percutaneous in rabbits. Acute poisoning rats transoral LD502160mg/kg. Packing, storage and transportation
The products are packed in woven bags lined with plastic bags or cardboard drums, each bag weighing 25 kg net. Store in a dry, clean and ventilated room. Keep away from strong oxidants, strong acids, anhydrides and food, and avoid mixed transportation. Storage period is one year, beyond the storage period, after inspection can still be used.
